A childhood of being creative and a dream of wanting to be an artist. An in-built need to record & communicate visually with the world. Led to a career sharing my love of visual art with others.
I’ve been working as a professional artist since I graduated from my Fine Art degree in 1999. From 1997-2002 I created/exhibited installations, video and live art. After experimenting & playing with different media between 2014-2016 I decided to focus on ceramics and Sara Budzik Making was born. I’ve been developing my sculptural practice over the last few years and have grand designs for it to become more ambitious!
I currently teach Pottery and other creative courses at Rutland Adult Learning and Skills Service in Oakham. I’ve a varied background of teaching including leading the Fine Art section of the Art Foundation at Loughborough Uni, Moderating Alevel Art for OCR, teaching young people with disabilities and behavioural needs and taught Art & Design at Loughborough High School for 13 years.
